Priority Power had access to a wealth of data they were leveraging internally and saw an opportunity to provide significant value to their customers by offering data and insights to help their customers make better-informed business decisions.

  • Service Offering: Priority Power wanted to create a new offering that positioned them as trusted energy advisors and help their customers make better business decisions.
  • Portal Requirements: They needed a secure, portal to deliver insights and analytics to their customers, with four distinct views: 
    • Customer-specific operational data 
    • Live energy market updates 
    • Comprehensive market data
    • Real-time ERCOT grid status
  • Accessibility: The portal had to be accessible on both desktop and mobile devices, leveraging Tableau Embedded Analytics for a seamless user experience.
  • Deadline: The project had a tight deadline, needing to launch in less than two months from ideation to production, creating an accelerated development cycle.

Strategy & Deliverables

To help Priority Power achieve its goal of delivering valuable insights directly to its customers, XeoMatrix developed a comprehensive plan of action centered around creating an embedded portal. This portal would facilitate the delivery of reports on the data Priority Power collects about the energy industry.

  • Discovery Phase: Our approach began with a thorough discovery phase, during which we fully understood Priority Power’s business case and objectives, focusing on their aim of providing a customer-facing portal.
  • Required Dashboards: Priority Power had four key views they wanted to present to their customers. We helped define data sources, visual design, and an enhanced user experience for customers interacting with the data.

  • Portal Requirements: We developed technical requirements for the portal, developing a security approach that ensured secure customer access and a walled approach to ensure there was no cross-mingling of customer-specific data.

    • Expansion of Priority Power’s hosted Tableau site to include a Tableau Cloud instance to enhance access and security for Priority Power’s customers
    • Four (4) Comprehensive Dashboards reflecting each of the required views
    • Optimization for both desktop and mobile-friendly access and interactions 
    • A branded proprietary portal solution ensuring a secure, seamless, and cohesive user experience for each of Priority Power’s customers.
